Pilates is a form of exercise designed to both strengthen the body and increase flexibility. Named for it's founder, Joseph Pilates, these exercises can be performed on a mat or special equipment. Virtually anyone, no matter age or fitness level, can benefit from a regular Pilates practice.
Considered to be the contemporary approach to Joseph Pilates' original teaching, the STOTT method was developed alongside sports medicine professionals and physical therapists; taking into account modern exercise principles to ensure safety and effectiveness. The STOTT method is ever evolving as more is understood and discovered about the human body. Emphasis is placed on restoring the natural curves of the spine and balancing the muscles, resulting in safer and more efficient movement.
Each one of our instructors is trained in the STOTT method and experienced in both personal training and small group teaching.

Equipment classes and private sessions never expire.
Cancellation Policy: Group Equipment Classes and Private Training Sessions must be cancelled or rescheduled 24 hours in advance. If cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, class credit will only be applied if there is an emergency situation.
Refund Policy: Refunds will only be issued to clients with a doctor’s note stating the client’s injury or illness and doctor’s recommendation to abstain from physical activity.

Expiration Policy: All mat class packages expire after 12 weeks from the date of purchase.
Missed Mat Classes: Any missed mat classes should be made up before the 12 week expiration. In the event of emergency or illness, 2 classes may be carried over the expiration during a 2 week grace period.

A guest or student attending North Corner Pilates and using its facilities and equipment does so at his/her own risk. North Corner Pilates shall not be liable for any damages arising from any personal injuries sustained by a guest or student which may occur to him/her using said facilities and equipment.
